Founded in 1985, LCA is proud to be the AKC Parent Club of the Leonberger breed. Throughout our long history, we?ve worked to promote the health, temperament and adherence to the breed standard of the Leonberger breed, while maintaining a culture of fun and family within our club.  To learn more about the club and the breed, visit the ?LCA? and ?Breed Info? sections of this site.  

Leonbergers are happiest when spending time with their family and meeting new people, and the LCA has a similar philosophy!  On this website, you?ll find links to our regional clubs around the country.  Attending a local Leonberger picnic, show or ?Leo Walk? in your area is a great way to get to know the breed and the people who make up the Leonberger Club of America.  

Lastly, take a few moments to read our Member Practices document.  It?s an expression of our shared goals and ideals for breeders, owners, and the future of our wonderful breed.
